Through partnership with the New York Aquarium, NYC Parks and Coney Island community members, we proposed concepts for increasing the safety of the Coney Island community during flood events as well as taking into account other environmental threats, such as urban heat island effect and airborne pollutants. The process included two visits to the site in order to meet with the community, share ideas, and get feedback.
