In response to the condition of extraction and pollution where the Cross Bronx Expressway crosses the Bronx River, the Circular Bronx Foodway proposes localized reclamation of wastes to mitigate dependence on outside inputs.

Just south of the Bronx Zoo, the Cross Bronx Expressway Crosses the Bronx River in a tangle of bridges and underpasses at West Farms, Bronx, NY.
I sought to respond to the polluted and extracted condition of the Bronx River while honoring and bolstering the rich history of community-lead restoration and reclamation on the West Farms neighborhood.
